Profile & Mission Statement

In 1998, after 10 years with a major international provider of software localization services, Thomas Berthold established Berthold International.

Until August 2002 the company was based in Boston, MA, USA. At present the main office is located in the greater Munich area in Germany.

The following profile and mission statement briefly introduces the company and its main goals.

Berthold International is comprised of competent and skilled individuals, who's main focus is to deliver high quality German localization services for software and other IT-related companies who want to sell and market their products in foreign countries.

We also assist software localization companies who outsource either all or the majority of their work, or who are short of in-house capacity to handle their current projects.

 

We function as an extension of our clients internal operations by forming strategic partnerships that foster long-term relationships for continued product support.

 

Berthold International doesn't have the immense overhead like some of the larger companies and can therefore offer more flexibility in terms of rates, scheduling, and customized solutions for your localization needs. We are still able to give all of our clients the personal attention they deserve.

 

Our long presence as native German speakers in the U.S. and us keeping a close eye on language and industry developments in both countries enables us to easily understand every customer's product as well as their point. When we say we know the language we really mean it.
